THE PEAK, STIRLING
The Peak was a £27million state of the art indoor sports complex with primary facilities including a 25m competition pool with spectator area, climbing wall, ice rinks, changing area, fitness gyms and studio’s, cafe and bar/restaurant.
Swimming Pool - Walls framed with Knauf I stud and wall liner system and boarded full height with moisture resistant Aquapanel.
Downstands formed with Knauf framing and sheeted with moisture resistant board. Rockfon lay-in suspended ceilings installed to conceal service works and improve acoustic insulation.
Fitness Studio - Offering maximum light and circulation space the Knauf partitioning and linings were installed incorporating glazed screens. The partitions offering enhanced sound reduction properties to restrict noise transfer from aerobics areas. Rockfon suspended ceiling offering a mixture of aesthetics as well as thermal and acoustic qualities.
VALE CENTRE FOR HEALTH AND CARE
A £20million development offering patients a state of the art health centre including primary care along with dietetics, podiatry and speech therapy units. The six wings offering the various health care requirements built in the shadow of the town’s old torpedo factory. Externally F. Brown contributed to the aesthetics by installing a Thermawood heat treated timber cladding. Thermawood also has fire resistant and durable qualities.
Main Reception - A stunning impact to visitors and patients alike with the curved Knauf partitioning system and British Gypsum MF ceilings with acoustically enhanced Gyptone boards. F. Brown also undertook the internal joinery package.
Oakview Practice - Ground floor reception area and first floor surgeries highlighteing the curved flooring, Knauf metal stud partitions with British Gypsum Glasroc boarding for perfect curved walls and ceilings.
Consulting Rooms - Curved walls leading to the corridor partitions constructed with Knauf metal studs and sound reducing boards. Rockfon suspended ceilings, with joinery work also completed as part of F. Brown’s package.
CARE FOR BUILDINGS
